FOSC appeals to like-minded residents of Skagit County and beyond to support us in our mission. We invite you to become a member and also to make decisions in your personal, work, and community affairs that promote the principles of "SmartGrowth".

  • Donate to FOSC
    There are two ways to make a charitable contribution to Friends of Skagit County. You can
    print and mail our donation form with a check, or make a simple and secure donation online, using your credit card, by clicking on the button below.

  • Sign up for FOSC emails
    Friends of Skagit County maintains a listserv for people interested in local and regional growth management issues.  List subscribers are invited to use it as a medium for generating discussion on growth-related topics.  FOSC also uses it to alert subscribers about opportunities to participate at public hearings and/or comment on legislation on topics our Board has chosen to endorse or oppose.  Volume of messages averages about 5 – 7 per week. To subscribe to our listserv, please send us an email.  Simply write “subscribe SmartGrowth” in the subject line.
     
  • Volunteer with FOSC
    Friends of Skagit County is looking for people interested in helping with the following: Research, Mailings, Newsletters, Computer maintenance, Web page updates and Staffing the FOSC Booth at Community Events. To volunteer, call us on 360-419-0988 and let us know what you are interested and able to help with, and we'll get back in touch with you.
     

  • Attend a FOSC Board Meeting
    Meetings are held at our Mount Vernon office (110 N. 1st Street, Suite C).  Times and dates are on the main page of this website.  All members of our organization are welcome to attend these Board meetings. Please call (360-419-0988) to confirm meeting time.
